Ganderbal, Jan 14 (KNO): Scores of videographers of central Kashmir's Ganderbal district today staged protest demonstrations in the premises of mini secretariat against district administration Ganderbal for failing to release their payment. Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), protesting videographers claimed that they were hired by the government and were promised that their payment will be released on priority basis, but more than a year has passed, and we have not yet received our due payment. “We were hired by District administration to cover BDC and panchayat elections and were promised that the payment would be done soon after the elections are over,” they said. Ganderbal is the only district out of 20 districts where election payment has not been released yet and their tall claims proved to be hoax till now. Protesting Videographers requested Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal to look into this matter to resolve the issue on merit and issue the order immediately to release pending payment without any further delay—(KNO)
